Mike Kai is Senior Pastor at Hope Chapel West Oahu. His humor & solid teaching brings the Bible to life, inspiring people to realize their God-given potential.

In August 2001, Mike planted this thriving, new church to reach the communities of Central and West O’ahu. Previously, Mike served as Youth Pastor at Hope Chapel Kaneohe Bay (1996-2001) under the mentoring of Pastor Ralph Moore; he also served as “back-up” preacher. Mike became a member when he dedicated his life to the Lord in 1989 & served on staff in 1995. Mike speaks frequently on the West Coast (U.S.) to youth and adults alike and has been instrumental in church planting in Australia as well as equipping and inspiring leaders in Thailand, Japan and the Philippines; acting on his passion to make disciples for the end-times harvest. Mike was born & raised in Honoka’a on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Mike & his wife, Lisa, have three beautiful daughters, Courtney, Rebekah & Charis. Mike is a huge sports fan – whether it’s pick-up basketball or UH football. It is evident that he loves God, his family, & his calling… And it’s refreshing that Mike still has time to play a little hoops on the side.
